Playgrounded - By Robert Ondzik

I am interested in the playground space as a network apparatus, related to the ideas discussed in class concerning Bruno Latour and ANT. What playgrounds speak about in terms of connection and a space of moving are two points in which I am particularly interested in. However in newer forms of playgrounds, often the playground is divided into separate entities, objects designed to serve specific purposes rather than a network of objects conceived as a unit which seems to be more synonymous with newer structures.

I never thought about the arrows drawn on roads to be human traces and they are. I grew up accepting so much construction on the land as intrinsic to my enviornment. Every building and road is a free space to spray paint on. If I say the road is mine, why can it not be mine? Nothing is ours. We can not own property. The government can not own the land.
I like to think of the perspectives of playful people (people not sticking to the sidewalk). A cigarette butt reminds me that I share this space.
